Thanks for the reply, that is really helpful.

As per the reply, it says that Klone needs an OS with POSIX interface and a "dry" kloned is approx 130KB on i386. At present the embedded device which I have doesn't have any OS on it and it's flash memory size is 128 KB.
But Klone requires 130 KB and after developing some ESP pages this memory requirement with increase.

So what I am looking for is that , some way using which I can build the web pages using klone web server on windows platform(Desktop PC) and then embed the binary onto the embedded device.
Also I want to do this without having any OS on the embedded device and the available memory restriction (128 KB).

What is your opinion about this requirement and do you think this can be achieved using klone web server?

Hello,
I have been trying to evaluate Klone web server.
My requirement is to have an embedded web server on an embedded device which will have a USB interface using which it can connect to a normal PC.Once the device is connected to PC the embedded web server will serve the request(web pages) from the browser of the PC to which the embedded device is connected. The web pages(ESP) will be built using klone.

I have following queries :
1. What is the requirement for the embedded device if i want use klone as the server.

klone needs an OS with POSIX interface.

2. Is RTOS / any other OS required on the embedded device for klone server to run.

yes, please see the list of supported OSes at http://koanlogic.com/klone/portability.html

3. How much memory will be required on the embedded device for klone server to run.

Memory footprint depends on a series of factors:
* target CPU architecture
* application complexity
* 3rd party dependencies (e.g. openssl for crypto related stuff, etc)

Anyway, a "dry" kloned is approx 130KB on i386.

4. Is there a way using which klone can communicate with USB port on the embedded device directly or it is required to have a intermediate module for communication.

It depends on the chosen OS: e.g. Linux has an ethernet over USB module which could probably fit your needs, other OSes may (or may not) have their own facilities.

Hope it helps.

ciao, t.
