You are right, we shall add a "Not so Basic Tutorial" or better a "KL1
Page Layout" section in the KLone resources' page.
I don't think documentation is that bad, but it would be far more good
(your remark about the "<%[@=] /* code blocks */ %>" is paradigmatical
in that sense) if we could get some help from the community of people
using klone.
Also, we know that the tool is powerful/complex and can be used in so
many different ways that it is inherently difficult to gather some
shared knowledge because each of you has its specific application
context which tend to intersect poorly with others'.
That's one of the reasons why we've created so many sample klapps (http://wiki.koanlogic.com/doku.php?id=klone#examples
): we thought that people with a given need could draw inspiration
straight from the source code. But, for many reasons - the main being
that not all people are coders :) - this is not always true.
I think, given our (KL) actual setup and user base, the best we can do
is listening to the mailing list and work on its input to constantly
improve the tool, which is our primary task. Then try to sum up the
most information-packed threads - e.g. the uClinux one - in some
coherent wiki page. Then ... you - klone-users tout-court - are
strongly encouraged to partecipate in the process by becoming O_RDWR
both on the mailing list and the wiki: a rich community is one where
everyone joins in :)
ciao, t.
